The Fantastic 4: First Steps
I would be lying if I said there was nothing of value, but it's honestly as close and as soulless as it can get.
Even Internet Daddy Pedro Pascal could not salvage this movie, as there is no real sense of tension throughout the entire run time even with Galactus staring down the very essence of my soul. The only true tension and fear I felt was when I was staring down CGI baby Franklin Richard's uncanny face. It's truly a cosmic horror beyond comprehension, no wonder Galactus wants him, he is too frightening.
I think one of the biggest sins a movie can commit is that it is boring. And this was boring. The "fight" scenes were boring. The plot was tedious and just reminded us that we are essentially waiting for the next Avengers movie when Marvel tries to pull up their scraps by their bootstraps.
