Law Abiding Citizen

Don't ever let Gerard Butler meet Jigsaw 😭

This is basically the SAW murder revenge porn movie of action films. I think the flaw in the entertainment aspect of this movie is that Gerard Butler's Clyde is by far the more engaging character, and although Jaime Foxx's performance as Nick was perfectly serviceable in this, his character was told as being smart but not shown so in the end it felt like they forced Clyde into being stupid at the very last second.

I think the one thing I do appreciate about this movie is how it kind of frames it at the end that Nick didn't really win because in the end Clyde essentially got what he wanted, although I think the movie didn't really end up with any real moral lesson to be learned even though that's kind of what the plot was centered around.
