Supergirl
This felt like it was supposed to be a much darker movie with the plotlines and stuff but they either couldn't commit to it or just weren't allowed to go dark because of the previous DCU.
Milly Alcock did fine, I think she just has a bit of a baby face so it makes it seem like Kara is really young. Ruthye's character didn't really land for me, and I was almost about to be angry at the "don't seek vengeance" plot they were trying to push. Kara also had a real false equivalence argument on why vengeance is bad when her own trauma has nothing to do with revenge.
Lobo and Superman were unfortunately the best parts of the movie for me partly because they continually just had to handicap Kara throughout the entire movie just so she wouldn't be able to stomp everyone instantly, and it became a little too played out like she seriously couldn't use her powers for more than a second before this random scumbag literally pulled out Kryptonite from thin air (seriously where did he get that from and how why would he even think to have that shit when there's two Kryptonians in the universe as far as we know).
It's not a bad movie but I just didn't feel like it checked many boxes for me.
